On May 22, Governor Roy Cooper moved North Carolina into Phase 2 of COVID-19 restrictions lifting. Phase 2 includes moving barber shops, salons and personal-care businesses from being closed to now operating at 50 percent capacity. With many barbers and salons being located in the West End, owners are now deciding if they are ready to reopen.
In Wesley Heights the nail salon Vanity Nail Bar decided it would reopen its doors to customers while taking precautions. They reopened on May 24 to an appointment only protocol. Vanity Nail Bar is encouraging customers that don’t have an appointment to call before coming in. They can reach out about coming in by calling 980-999-5030. Due to limited staff, to book an appointment they are asking that customers text them at 980-333-8228 or message them on Facebook.
Once a booked customer arrives, their experience will be a little different than usual. Every customer that enters for service must fill out a consent form and have a temperature check. Customers will be asked to sanitize their hands before signing in on the iPad. They must have their face mask on to be serviced. Seating will be limited and there will be no waiting allowed in the wait area. They will be asked to social distance from other customers while being serviced.
Vanity Nail Bar is also taking precautions with how they clean the facility. They were already on top of keeping things clean, but they will be sanitizing and disinfecting each working area immediately after use. They will also be following all guidelines from the NC State Board.
To manage these changes, the hours have been limited. You can come into 222 Wesley Heights Way by appointment only Tuesday through Saturday from 11am-6pm, and on Sunday from 12pm-5pm. If your nails need to be spruced up and you feel comfortable venturing out of your home, Vanity Nail Bar is waiting for your call.
